I got this to help a disabled relative with strength and mobility issues, who had trouble with normal-length broom handles. Although it is intended for use at normal length, and is probably made in segments only for cheaper shipping, it was simple to leave out one section and have a shorter-than usual handle. The sections are quite secure when screwed together, and the end thread fits almost all brooms, mops, dusters, paint rollers, etc. It’s lightweight and not suitable for really heavy work, but perfect for someone of limited strength in a small apartment, especially if confined to a wheelchair or rolling seat/walker.
